The Polar express. What can I say it was the BEST Christmas experience We have ever had. I would definitely recommend it. The ride smooth and no issues at all. We had a rider with allergies. Completely catered for the best way to describe it is a Theatre production on a train. It was magnificent! the conductor stevie, Chef Katie, and the Hobo was as truly amazing the Children phenomenal! Absolutely blown away from the experience everyone on our part of the train Rudolph were incredible!!!! from start to finish!
We had a lovely visit on the Telford Steam Railway to take a trip on the polar express. We parked at Ironbridge Park and Ride and got a bus to the station. They had put on a lovely evening with free entertainment and some food stalls, there was a lovely model train village as well.
The Polar Express was magical. I won't give too much away, but it was a lovely evening.
Very helpful and friendly staff throughout.
A small but a well run heritage railway, they do lots for children and they have the polar express again this year, please give them a visit and enjoy a lovely day.
Our daughter was recently in the cast of The Polar Express, picked her up every night & it always looked amazing 🤩
Visited here for the Polar Express with 2 families. Overall we really enjoyed it. The park and ride is effortless - and drops you right at the attraction.
The initial waiting when they ask you to arrive before your train is fine initially - you can view the model railway, view a short screening and then pop to the loo.
The food and drink is over priced for what it is (chips and instant coffee) but it is what it is. They always make money here. So if I were you I'd bring some snacks if the kids are likely to be hungry.
The train ride itself was fantastic. The kids and adults had fun. Hot chocolate on the train was lovely, the cookie decent and the Santa experience was nice too.
Gift shop prices - as expected are a bit steep and you can get the same "official" merch cheaper online by about 20% - so do check if money is tight.
Other than Lapland UK this has been one of our favourites for Christmas.
We visited for the Fish n Chips Saturday Special and we had a wonderful time.
There were five of us in our party, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food (piping hot and good portions, exactly what we ordered).
Drinks and chocolate were available throughout the journey at a reasonable price.
The staff were all really friendly throughout the experience and we'd happily come again for another event. Very well priced as well
Took the kids on the polar express and they loved every second, great experience.
I’ve been visiting TSR since I was toddler and have many fond memories. It’s great to see some of the progress being made by the dedicated volunteers, a small railway with great ambitions. Always great to visit when 5619 is in steam.
